As part of the efforts to boost tourism in Iraq, a comprehensive dossier has been prepared to nominate Baghdad as the Arab Tourism Capital for 2025. Under the direction of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al-Sudani, a high-level committee was formed in coordination with the Arab Tourism Organization and the Arab Tourism Ministers Council to prepare this file.

The dossier is expected to be presented to the Arab Tourism Ministers Council and the Arab Tourism Organization in August 2024, aiming to finalize Baghdad's selection as the Arab Tourism Capital for 2025. This event represents a major opportunity to attract tourists from around the world to visit Iraq's archaeological and cultural sites, contributing significantly to the national economy.
